Programs

Our programs include private and school sessions.

Baby massage & stimulation.

(0-2 years of age)

Our Baby stimulation program focuses on the sensory-motor development of a baby from a stimulation point of view. This program also has a preventative, improving and rehabilitative nature. Infants are assessed by Kinderkineticists using the latest version of internationally recognized test batteries such as the PDMS to determine if a baby’s motor development is on par.

This ensures that attention can also be given towards the milestone development of a baby. Should an infant be delayed in his/her development, the correct intervention can be followed in order to ensure optimal motor development, thus helping a baby to reach his/her full potential.

Toddler development program

(2-7 years of age)

This program is a fun-filled perceptual-motor developmental program that is specifically taught to meet the various aspects of gross motor development such as balance, body awareness, spatial orientation, coordination, rhythm and timing. This program is also designed towards the neuro-motoric development of the child and aims to prevent educational implications from a motor point of view.

Lessons will be designed uniquely according to the different age groups as well as the developmental phases of the children. Children are assessed using the latest version of national and international recognized test batteries to determine if a child’s motor development is on par.

Should the child be delayed in his/her development, the correct intervention can be followed in order to ensure optimal motor development, thus helping a child to reach his/her full potential.

Sport development program

(8-13 years of age)

This program is a group-based sport development program where different sport skills are taught in a fun and exciting manner. It also focuses on fitness and ensures that the basic fundamental skills underlying the various sporting skills are established before moving on to specialising in a specific sport.

Children participating in this program can also be assessed using Internationally recognised test batteries. The assessment used will specifically focus on the children’s object manipulation and locomotor skills.

Remedial program for children with different needs

(0-13 years of age)

This program is specially designed and adapted to meet the unique needs of a child from a gross motor as well as a neuro-motor point of view. In this program, each child receives an in-depth assessment using well-researched test batteries that are internationally recognised.

This helps the Kinderkineticist to form a clear picture of the child’s development and aids in helping to identify possible underlying problems as to why a child may battle with his/her development. Sessions are then planned according to well-researched principles.

Children with obesity, asthma, allergies and diabetes as well as children experiencing co-morbid disorders such as autism, DCD, ADHD or other neuro-motor based learning problems, will benefit from this program. We are working in conjunction with other professionals to ensure the optimal development of the child.

School Sessions

Our school sessions are presented at various nursery schools, pre-schools, primary schools and private schools. These are fun-filled, physically active lessons, focusing on administering all the correct physical and cognitive stimulation that a child requires for optimal development and growth.

During these classes, we focus on maintaining, strengthening, improving, and optimising children’s physical and motor skills to achieve your child’s well-being and academic success.

Throughout the year we assess the children according to their developmental age to determine which are the critical areas that need improvement. Thereafter we adapt our program with a well-prepared plan of action and follow through accordingly.

Children that needs more attention are identified through assessment and referred to an appropriate external specialist.
